Senior Finance Project Manager

The Finance Senior Project Manager will be a key contributor within the Finance PMO team, responsible for managing and supporting the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives across the Finance organization.Location: Tallinn, Estonia

About the role

This role partners closely with Finance sub-teams (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Controlling, Reporting) and cross-functional stakeholders across the business to ensure projects with financial impact are executed efficiently, on time, within budget and to the highest quality and compliance standards. The job position acts as a bridge between Finance and the wider organization - bringing structure, governance and strategic oversight to change initiatives.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact between Finance, Commerce and business teams on strategic initiatives with financial impact, ensuring early Finance involvement and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Own and drive Finance-related initiatives end-to-end, providing structure, clear direction, accountability, and proactive risk and dependency management to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Align and influence stakeholders through clear communication, consistent project updates, and effective coordination of cross-functional teams and external vendors where required.
Manage and support governance processes for key financial changes, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, audit trail maintenance, and adherence to compliance standards.
Drive continuous improvement within the Finance function by optimizing processes, supporting financial systems implementation, and promoting best practices in project governance and tools (e.g., Jira).

About you:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management or a related field, with 5–7+ years of project management experience, ideally within a Finance or IT function in a fast-paced technology or multinational environment.
Strong governance and stakeholder management experience, with solid knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Jira preferred).
Good understanding of Finance processes and systems (e.g., ERPs, accounting software, payment platforms).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; PMP, Prince2 or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
