We’re seeking a dynamic Managing Director to lead Cincy Company (a Main Street United Company), the magazine, and a comprehensive set of marketing offerings—including digital assets and events—in the Cincinnati region, operating in partnership with Main Street United (also has HQ in Cincinnati). This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to build something meaningful in your community with shared ownership available after year one.

What You’ll Do

Split your time 50/50 between:

  • Direct Sales: Generate advertising revenue across print, digital, and event platforms, conduct 5+ client meetings weekly, maintain 50+ client touchpoints
  • Operations: Run day-to-day business operations, manage P&L, coordinate with corporate support team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be directly responsible for business success, growth, and profitability
  • Serve as the face of our organization in the community through weekly networking
  • Manage all advertising partnerships and custom publishing opportunities in your territory
  • Collaborate with commission-based sales executives selling into your market
  • Participate in weekly social media engagement connected to our brand
  • Handle escalated customer service challenges
  • Conduct monthly P&L reviews and recommend improvements

What We Provide

  • Complete Corporate Support: Circulation, finance, production, design, editorial, digital, events
  • Technology & Tools: CRM system, phone system, all sales materials
  • Training & Mentorship: Comprehensive training on all tasks plus one-on-one CEO mentorship
  • Team Support: Work alongside other account executives with weekly collaboration meetings

Weekly Commitments

  • 5+ client meetings and 50+ client touchpoints
  • Community networking and professional relationship building
  • CEO or Sales Director development meeting
  • In-office sales meeting with KPI presentation
  • Zoom roundtable with account executives
  • Social media brand engagement
  • Profit center meetings (as directed by COO)

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven advertising/media sales track record
  • 3+ years sales operations or business development experience
  • Strong community connections and networking abilities
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience with corporate partnerships
  • Social media and digital marketing proficiency

Pay: $47,433.90 - $125,000.00 per year
