UC is a mission-driven organization where we are committed to student success and positively transforming the community through scholarship and service. We thrive on innovation, making an impact, and fostering an environment where staff and faculty are key contributors to UC’s success.
The Learning Commons provides centralized academic support for all University of Cincinnati students. We facilitate and train hundreds of outstanding peer educators to create flexible academic success programming. Many of these programs collaborate with faculty and others on campus for in-time support for specific courses and overall academic success here at UC. Each year more than 10,000 students take advantage of Learning Commons programs to build confidence, integrate on campus, and master challenging course content.
The Academic Services Administrator for Content Review (CR) will coordinate the Content Review program to promote student success in science courses. Content Review sessions promote content practice, peer-to-peer learning, study skills development, and metacognition for students taking entry-level Biology and Chemistry courses. Through tailored weekly review sessions of corequisite course material, led by a Content Review Leader, students collaborate on practice problems, discuss correct solutions, and make plans for further preparation outside of class. Aligned with the Ohio Strong Start in Science initiative and in parallel with the University of Cincinnati’s Mathematics Supplemental Review Sessions (SRS) program, Content Review will transition to a one-credit-hour course and use faculty-developed course materials beginning in Fall 2026. Qualified applicants are not required to have content knowledge in the science courses supported by the Content Review program, but content knowledge in relevant areas and/or experience collaborating with faculty and/or peer educators would be preferred.
