Job Overview

Provide assistance & information to consumers, business people, government officials, patients, residents & general public in response to requests & inquiries; assist with and/or performs related research, reporting & record-keeping

Essential Functions

  • Provide assistance and information to consumers, businesspeople, government officials, patients, residents and general public in response to requests and inquiries received by telephone, web portal, 2-way radio, in mail, or in person; refer client to another source if needed.
  • Accurately enter information into the computer system to produce work orders. Create and maintain work control reference material using Microsoft Office.
  • Assist in resolving problems, questions, and complaints. Counsel and/or give advice. Follow up to ensure consistent maintenance of conditions favorable to client when necessary.
  • Assist with and/or perform research to determine solutions to problems affecting clients to determine nature and magnitude of problems or complaints and/or to study particular products, practices or services on behalf of clients.
  • Assist with and maintain records, data, documentation, and reports regarding calls, correspondence, contacts, and actions.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

Three (3) courses in public relations, three (3) months of experience, or equivalent

Ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages

Ability to read and write common vocabulary

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Shift: Varies Starting Pay Rate: $17.90 per hour Post Probationary Rate: $18.75
