Digital Futures Student Ambassador

Become a Student Ambassador at Digital futures, UC’s cutting-edge interdisciplinary research facility for all things tech! Digital Futures (DF) is a community where we partner with non-profits, government, and industry to deliver tech solutions for the real problems impacting people’s lives. We want you on our team if:

You Bring:

  • A passion for digital technologies of all kinds – AI, robotics, drones, AR/VR/XR and more.
  • A high level of customer service skills and experience.
  • Comfort performing physical activities for an extended period of time.
  • Excellent time management and personal responsibility skills.
  • Ability to navigate reliable transportation to the DF building.
  • Schedule availability that meets the business needs of DF. We work around your class schedule.

  • Work with digital research scientists from across the university.
  • Support DF research labs tackling society’s most challenging problems.

You Agree To:

  • Arrive on time when you’re scheduled to work.
  • Dress appropriately for a business casual, professional environment.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled.
  • Complete required training modules and follow operational policies and procedures.
  • Perform all duties and tasks given and other duties as assigned.

Compensation is competitive based on skills and experience, $12 - $13 USD per hour.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service in a professional and respectful manner.

- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while following established policies and procedures.

- Ability to perform required physical activities for extended periods of time.

-Availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends based on operational needs and declared academic schedules.

- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a positive, professional attitude.

- Basic familiarity with audiovisual (AV) equipment.

- High School Diploma or GED

- Currently enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours) at UC, except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- "Enrollment" shall include:

- The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled.

- The one "off" term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.
