Primary Duties

The Student Research Assistant in Engineering Graphics will support Dr. Kristi Bartlett’s research group by helping with projects related to computer-aided design (CAD) education and the use of engineering design graphics in industry. The specific duties may include:

  • Working with graduate research assistants to interpret qualitative data from interviews with engineering students and engineering professionals
  • Analysis of online educational media such as CAD YouTube tutorials
  • Assisting with the design and testing of educational activities related to CAD and 3D printing

Minimum Requirements

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at UC.
  • Majoring in mechanical engineering or a related degree program.
  • Knows how to use computer-aided design (CAD) software and has taken at least 1 full semester of CAD at the university level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and time management skills.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

As a UC student employee of an Ohio public institution, you will not contribute to the federal Social Security system, other than contributions to Medicare.
