The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is dedicated to high quality medical student, resident, and fellow education, excellence in patient care, and advancing the science in psychiatry and behavioral neurosciences through clinical trials and ongoing collaborative research.
The Freeman Center for Developmental Disabilities offers coordinated, person-centered care for adults with developmental disabilities. Our expert team provides primary care, behavioral health, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, nurse care coordination, social work and dietary support in an accessible setting, so patients have coordinated care plans and fewer separate visits.
The College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is recruiting for a Psychiatrist at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level to provide care at the Freeman Center. The final rank and title of the appointment will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant. Medical Director and leadership opportunities may be available for qualified candidates.

As a UC employee, you won’t contribute to Social Security (except Medicare). Instead, you’ll choose between state pension plans (OPERS, STRS) or an Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP), with UC contributing 14–18% of your salary based on position.
